Summary of course types and lengths available:
All workshops are done at a location specified by the client, on
your equipment, so your staff are most familiar with the equipment
they will be working with on a daily basis. Demonstration classes
are of unlimited size. Hands-on classes are limited depending on
the computer equipment available.
All classes can be done on either Apple or PC platforms, but are
generally not mixed in one class.
Technology in the Courtroom Overview
- This basic overview of technology will familiarize your staff
with the products available. Use of things like Interactive Peripherals,
scanners, digital cameras, streamed video will be discussed. The
demonstration-style of the program makes class size unlimited. This
program is a great way to introduce technology to staff. The 3 hours
session gets people up and using the technology, but does not allow
for everyone to actually be hands-on.
Hands-on Technology in the Courtroom
- Participants work with the instructor to learn the software to
create projects. Extensive use of the internet as a resource will
be covered along with available peripheral equipment, such as projectors,
scanners, DVDs and Digital Cameras. The training will be customized
to the equipment available at your facility. In this full-day session,
attendees will leave with a project they can immediately use and
a complete reference notebook file.
Technology for the REAL Courtroom -
A customized series of two-hour sessions. Each session focuses on
one type of technology in-depth. A customized list of topics can
be developed to meet the needs of your staff. An example of a series
would be:
| 1. |
So
what do we have available and how to access it. |
| 2. |
Using presentation aides. |
| 3. |
How
to integrate digital video cameras, document cameras and video
conferencing. |
Technology
for the REAL Courtroom - Built on the three session program,
succeeding sessions, 4-6, offer more in-depth topics and allows
staff to become more advanced users. In addition to one through
three above, additional sessions can be customized to specific technologies.
For example:
| 4. |
Using
video conferencing - How to set up programs, how to use your
equipment and available resources. |
| 5. |
Integrating
various subjects through the use of technology-writing. Tools
to get the program started, working out differences and different
technical levels of expertise. |
| 6. |
Specific
topics as determined by the needs of your staff, often this
session is a review or for those wishing to work on more advanced
topics. |
